Restive Essence

Part 5 in The Essence Series

Look at this guy. How could you not want to be with him? As comfortable and scrumptious in a suit as in jeans and a tee. Well, okay maybe not in a suit. He's said that himself hasn't he? So in my books he has rarely been in one. As a matter of fact I get him out of anything as often as the storyline allows me to.

Each time I've written these books I perceive it to be the last, but a new scenario has inevitably surfaced in my head. Can you blame me? Okay so let's get back to the story at hand.  This is a guy, right? And all guys have their bad sides don't they? The man isn't perfect, no one is really. How would someone in his position get himself into what he has in my stories and how would he cope with getting out? One can only speculate. But, as it is taxing on both parties involved, perhaps he will think like a guy and try to dump the gal using reverse logic - act like I never really cared and maybe it will all go away. Not Colin you say? Do you know for sure? I don't, but it is an interesting aspect to explore. He has said he is nothing like the romantic characters he portrays and everyone has a dark side. I personally see him as self-effacing, charming and fun to be around, but hey, it's my nickel.

The music for this story is almost an homage to Ronan Keating. I discovered this lad after hearing his song in Hope Springs. Had to see if I could find anything else on him. What I found was a wonderfully talented singer/songwriter. In the process I have procured all three of his CD's and found none wanting. Every song is great. He is also very endearing. At age 27 he reminds me of Colin. Married at age 21, hopelessly in love with his wife, two children whom he adores and tries to spend as much time with his family as he can. Singing is his day job. So, although I obviously have used other artists in the story I do hope you enjoy Ronan. And perhaps you will be curious enough to try one of his albums. Unfortunately, they are not available in the US  - you have to order them imported. Not every chapter is a Ronan song, nor do all the Ronan songs necessarily have something to do with the chapter, per se (though most do.) Some of them I just used because I liked the song.

As always - if you haven't read the others previous (1-4) this story will not flow or some of the points may be lost. Here is the link to the first story.

Story Disclaimer:
I want it to be known that I am aware that Colin Firth is a happily married family man. Likewise I am a blissfully married woman with two wonderful grown children. Actions and statements contained in this story are purely fiction and fantasy. I only know about THE MAN what is available to the general public via interviews, magazines and other various articles that are available to anyone who seeks it out. I, in no way, would infer that either he or I would do any of the things in the stories, nor would I condone them.
That said. It is a story. It is my fantasy. It is fiction and it is fun.
